BUSINESS ETHICS
- ETHICS:- The word ethics is derived from the greek word ethike, it can be defined as a set of moral principles and moral values about what is wrong and what is right, what is proper or improper.
- BUSINESS ETHICS:-It is application of ethical value to business behaviour, in a begining ethical means applying principles honesty and fairness to with customers and co-workers.
ETHICAL AND UNETHICAL ISSUES OF HR, FINANCE AND MARKETING:-
- HUMAN RESOURCES:- HR is defined as managing labourers or employees of the organization in an efficient and effective manner for maximization of profit.
Issues are most difficult to deal with it arrises in employment, remuneration and benefits.Many organizations establish expectations regarding ethical issues such as conflict of interest, safety, privacy issue, employment issue, gender and disability. It deals with setting standards that promote ethical behaviour in workplace.
Unethical issues of HR:-
Organization source obvious signs of unethical behaviour you may be faced with public problems of ultimately loss business. Some of the problems promoting ethical business in the right path are lying about performance, breach of contact, crossing harassment, failure to maintain safety in workplace.
2. Finance:- It is defined as money required for start of business or support of business.
Ethical issues of Finance:-
They are involved in management functions at finance institute and banks.They are required to upload the highest ethical standards because internal and external stakeholders are completely dependent on transparent.
Financial document to make decisions are:-
- Accuracy
- Integrity
- Transparency
- Timeliness
It is at lower level in MNCs and public limited companies.
Some of the unethical in practices in accounting and financing are:-
- Not promote sale tax, custom duty,PF, ESI.
- Cheating employees of their dues towards leave travel assistance, children education fees etc.
Ethical issues of Marketing:-
Marketing research has experienced with spade which is used to social networking, internet.
- Anti-competitive practices
- Pricing ethics
- Delivery channels
Avoiding unethical markreting practices can also help a business avoid other consequences, such as losing the good faith and loyalty of customers, and jeopardizing profitability. The worst practices of the bunch are:-
- Emotional exploitation
- Contacting people without consent
- Misleading advertising
